The Beluga Security Cable is a 4 metre plastic coated steel security cable. It requires no padlock as you simply feed the cable through part of the load, pass the stopper through the large loop and close the stopper in the door or boot of the car.
For Sit on Top kayaks simply feed one end of the cable through a scupper hole then pass the stopper end through the other end loop and you will have lassooed your kayak with the cable.
On whitewater, sea or touring kayaks there may be a security cable bar, usually located just behind the cockpit, or you might need to loop the cable round the seat fixing pillar.
Whichever approach you use you will be msaking it harder for a potential thief to remove your kayak from your car roof bars so more than likely deterring them from attempting to take it.
If you store your kayak outside you should be able to use a similar method to attach the cable to your watercraft then wrap the stopper end around a post or other permanant fixture and use a padlock to secure the cable.
