Badger's design has a wider blade tip which provides more power than a traditional beavertail in deep water. The additional tip width becomes a significant advantage in shallower water where you can't immerse the whole blade in the water.

Badger’s signature hand shaped transitional ridge on the back face of the Badger Tail paddle is a subtle continuation from the paddle shaft that gradually tapers into the blade allowing for uniform flex towards the centre of the blade. This provides added strength and creates a smooth flow of water around the blade on the surface allowing for a more smooth and fluid stroke.
