The Design Kayaks Awesome is a sporty ocean play sea kayak designed to play in the waves and rock hopping whilst still offering sufficient storage capacity for camping trips and extended paddling trips.

For improved tracking in following seas and breezy cross winds, the Awesome has a cord operated Kajaksport retractable skeg system.

Rotomoulded construction with tough 3 layer polyethylene offers additional stiffness for maximum performance whilst minimising the weight to only 26kg. 3PE construction is generally considered to be the best balance between strength/weight/rigidity especially if playing near rocks which can easily damage composite kayak alternatives.

Outfitted with a lightweight padded carbon seat, ratchet adjustable back rest, adjustable foot pegs and padded thigh braces.

Optional self rescue straps can be fitted behind the cockpit for aiding self rescue using your paddle.
