The Gumotex Seashine is a top of the range tandem inflatable which can be adapted easily to suit a broad range of uses and has many features which will allow the paddler or paddlers to explore further and paddle faster!   The hull is made from high strength Nitrilon, a proprietary environmentally sound fabric designed by Gumotex from natural rubber and contains no PVC. The floor is dropstitch which means higher air pressure similar to the way inflatable paddleboards are made. This gives greater rigidity to the hull and also allows the shape to be more precise, in this case a v shaped bow section, further enhanced by a plastic keel line. The Seashine will cut through the water just like a sea kayak and each paddle stroke will result in more glide.

To further increase hull stiffness there are aluminium cross braces fore and aft. These strengthen the bow and stern sections whilst also ensuring the generous splash decks are supported – even in rougher seas the paddlers are protected from water coming over the bow and gear can also be stowed beneath.

The inflatable seats now come with push-push valves, as do the adjustable footrests so pumping them up can be done with the same adapter as the main chambers of the kayak. The kayak can be set up with 1 or 2 seats so a solo paddler can sit in the optimal position. It is possible to put a 3rd seat in the middle as well for a child if purchased as an optional extra.
There are cargo nets front and rear, strong carry handles and decklines for safety – even a drainage hole on the rear deck. A clip on skeg slides on the hull for additional tracking stability.

The true versatility of the Seashine really shows however in the optional deck kits (see recommended accessories).  These allow the kayak to be converted to either a single or double decked sea kayak capable of accepting nylon spraydecks for complete protection from the elements.
