The Old Town Sportsman Salty PDL 120 is a pedal driven fishing kayak designed to handle adverse and bigger waters, particularly coastal conditions. With a dynamic 12ft hull the Sportsman Salty PDL is the fastest pedal driven kayak in the Old Town range, the upswept bow allows for a drier rider through ocean swells and makes it well suited for a range of UK fishing waters.  

The Sportsman Salty PDL 120 is filled with features from bow to stern, the mesh framed seat offers exceptional lumbar support regardless of length of time on the water, while the mesh construction is designed to be as breathable as possible allowing for improved drainage and ventilation. As with many pedal driven kayaks it is the seat which is adjusted the Salty PDL has an easy to use system along the shuttle track accommodating paddlers of various leg lengths. Underneath the seat is a slim pocket which can be used to stow things like a tackle box close to hand.

The pedal drive system is the robust low maintenance Old Towns PDL drive, this comes with an industry first-in-class five year warranty, is easy docking/ deploying for hassle free launching and the narrow stature of the Salty 120 means that it is as easy to paddle as it is to pedal. This propeller drive has a forward and reverse instant thrust making it easy to change direction quickly, particularly when used in conjunction with the oversized rudder the hand controls can be found to the left of the seating position while the right handside houses the deployment and up-haul controls. The Salty PDL 120 is at its core a kayak for anglers and is designed to make catching fish as easy as possible.

Featuring two tank wells, one at the bow and a larger stern area there is ample deck storage and easy to add any fishing crates, coolers or other larger items. Four flush mounted rod holders can be found already installed, the two behind the seat are rear facing and are ideal for trolling or rod storage as you pedal/paddle into position, while the remaining two are integrated into the seat facing forward and make for an easy place to change lures, re-bait, an easy to reach comfortable position when waiting for a bite or even offer an assistant to help reel in your catch. However should more rod holders be required, two 18” flush mounted tracks offer an opportunity to install, drill free, any additional accessories (rod holders, fish finder screens, camera booms etc.). The bow tank well scupper hole leads through to a recessed universal transducer mounting system which will accommodate most fish finder transducers.
