The Palm Bora is dependable when the weather is fickle. Designed for rough ocean conditions and cold weather touring, the Bora will keep you comfortable and dry. A supple XP 3-layer fabric keeps you warm and lets vapour out, while the articulated hood, latex wrist seals and velcro twin waist will keep you snug and dry.

The Twin Waist is designed to be used with a Spray skirt pulled up inside between the two layers but even if you aren't using a spray deck there are advantages to this kind of design.It can be paired with dry trousers as explained below. This makes it a great choice whatever your paddle sport may be.

Unlike single waist jackets you have two layers covering your core and wrapping round your back offering more protection against the wet and better insulation too. The twin waist can also be paired up with something like the Palm Atom Pants or Bib. Just tuck the inner waist of the cag into the twin waist of the pants and velcro it in place then velcro the outer skin of the cag around that so creating multiple overlaps at the waist which should keep most of the water out if you manage to fall in or encouter an intense downpour.

This kind of combo approach is a versatile alternative to a dry suit. It might not be quite as reliable at the waist but you do have the option of removing the cag if the weather gets warm and still having the dry protection on your lower body.
