The Palm Coniston is a heavy duty Nylon Spray deck designed for touring and especially suited to Kayaks with a higher backrest. This Spray deck features a reinforced front panel and adjustable waist and cockpit size for the perfect fit.

If you are new to using a kayak with a closed deck and cockpit it can feel a bit daunting wearing a spraydeck at first. The Palm Coniston is a great first time choice. If you leave the cockpit draw cord at its loosest you should find the cockpit can very easily be popped open, as your confidence grows you can gradually tighten the drawcord every few paddles until you have it at a very secure tension which will easily withstand paddling out through broken surf a few feet high. Before long you will feel vulnerable without a spray deck!

If you are a seasoned sea kayaker using something like a Palm Roanoke then the Coniston is a great choice as a backup deck if you are off for a multi-day trip. it is light-weight and rolls down quite small so can be put into a day hatch in case you manage to damage or even lose your main spraydeck.
