VE Aircore Fara

UK Made Premium Performance Paddles

Vertical Element Aircore Fara paddles are premium build light-weight paddles  designed to provide a  precise feel and plenty of power with a mid-sized Aircore Carbon Blade. The Aircore Blade is lighter and more buoyant than foam core blades. The blade thickness is stepped down progressively towards the tip to reduce the swing weight which in turn provides a cleaner catch and can reduce fatigue on longer trips.

The versatile Aircore Fara paddles are designed for higher angle paddling and they do perform well at lower angles too.  This blade provides all the power you need whether that be pushing out through the surf, covering the miles at a decent speed, accelerating to catch some downwind runs or just having fun playing in a lively sea. Shafts are subtly indexed on both sides making them suitable for right handed or left handed paddlers.

The nylon lever-lock ensures a firm connection and takes only seconds to flip open on the move if you need to adjust the length (up to 10cm), or the blade feather angle. There are no pre-set click points so you can get exactly the length and angle you need. Being able to adjust the length and feather on the VE Aircore Fara on the hoof is a game changer, if the sea gets lively just shorten the shaft on the go for great high angle strokes and if it is gentle you can stretch it out and do some lower angle paddling. Increase the feather ready for an approaching squall as a stronger feather will stop the wind tugging at the blades on the up stroke side, then ease it off again when calm returns.

The VE Aircore Fara Carbon shafts are a little stiffer than the Glass shafts although the difference is small it should provide a more precise transfer of power during strokes. Some paddlers find the glass shafts less fatiguing although the slight flex is almost imperceptible.

Vertical Element Paddles are made by hand in Britain using pre-preg carbon and fibreglass materials and high pressure hot compression moulded construction techniques. This provides a low flex and highly durable blade.
