Pedal Drive System for the Shearwater 125

Paddling is great but sometimes you want your hands free for fishing or just a different way of propelling your kayak through the water. Enter the X-Drive Pedal system. This kit is the ideal upgrade for a Shearwater 125 and comes with all parts needed to convert your paddle to pedal!

The drive system is designed to slot into the hole left when the Versa Pod is removed. There is a supplied adaptor plate and a hand steering tiller to replace the foot operated steering system fitted as standard. Based on the swish-swish movement of penguin flippers the X-Drive provides surprisingly efficient forward propulsion using a push-push pedal which many say is easier and less tiring than the rotary motion needed for propeller drives.
