Mad River Canoes have been designing and building canoes since 1971. From the beginning, Mad River explored new designs and experimented with new materials. They continue to produce open canoes push design to new levels of performance and are renowned for producing high quality canoes.

Famous for their extremely durable Triple Tough (TT) 3-layer sandwich construction used in a number of their popular models such as the Mad River Explorer 14TT and 16 TT. Other popular models include the Adventure 14 & 16 aimed at the recreational user and incorporating high support backrests.
