The Nova Craft Prospector 15 SP3 open canoe is a scaled-down version of Nova Crafts larger Prospectors that remains faithful to the original lines in every way. You get the great handling features that make the Prospector a paddling legend, in a package that's a bit smaller and more responsive and as a result easier to paddle solo, while also offering no compromise for tandem use.

The Prospector 15's SP3 construction is made by roto-molding three layers of superlinear polyethylene powder. The two outer layers are solid and the middle layer is foam. These canoes are extremely strong and are an excellent choice for river use or general recreational use. These are the most affordable canoes Nova Craft make. The tough SP3 canoes are very popular for activity centres, clubs and rental locations.

The Prospector 15 itself has a symmetrical hull with a mild tumblehome providing great all round performance. It offers a perfect blend of stability whilst still retaining its ability to be heeled over for manoeuvrability and tracking.
